Xsteel - Tekla Course

Xsteel - Tekla is an object-oriented structural and fabrication software for designing, detailing, and modeling steel constructions, including joint design and static calculations. The program saves time in modeling and drafting and allows point-based static analysis of elements to determine material requirements.

36 Hours

This course provides a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to structural steel modeling and fabrication detailing using Tekla Structures (formerly Xsteel). Participants will learn the software interface and workflow, project and model setup, grid and view creation, parametric modeling, connection (joint) design, welded and bolted connections, assembly management, clash detection, numbering, reporting, and multi-user collaboration. The course also covers the creation of general arrangement drawings, single-part and assembly drawings, section views, dimensioning, drawing customization, AutoCAD export, template management, and publishing workflows. By following real-world project scenarios, learners will gain the skills needed to produce fabrication-ready steel models, generate accurate technical drawings, and deliver complete structural steel documentation with confidence.
